What items do you need from me?
PETS R PEOPLE 2 must have a copy of your pets current shot records from your vet's office. All dogs must be current on their Rabies, DHLPP vaccinations and Bordetella. Nasal within last 6 months or injection within the last 12 months. Cats must be current on their Rabies, and FVRCP vaccinations. Newly vaccinated pets should let 4 - 7 days pass prior to enrollment so that enough time has passed to allow your pet to be better protected prior to their stay with us. Pets should be at least 3- 4 months old. If younger please call us. Your pet will need to be spayed or neutered after that age in order to be a guest in our cage less facility. A flea and tick medication should be used prior to arrivals. All pets are checked upon arrival. If any moving critters are found, we will have to treat your pet. Fleas & ticks not welcomed.
Our enrollment form must be completed for all pets that will be staying with us. You can list up to 2 pets per form. Provide your email address on the form as we send periodic pictures of their stay with us. List your pets Birthday on the form too.
A short simple evaluation of your pet will also
need to be done by a member of our staff to make sure that your pet will fit into the group. All pets must be non-aggressive towards people, other pets, and toys. So, if your pet is friendly and good natured, our facility will be a wonderful place to spend their time at when they can not be with you. Don't worry if your pet is a little shy or a bit nervous at first. We are with them and do everything we can to help make their stay comfortable and fun.
However, if your dog tends to bite, growl or shows
aggression, a kennel or pet sitter would be more
suitable for your pet. You are ultimately responsible for your pets behavior during their stay with us. Safety at all times must come first.
What about my pets food or medication schedule?
We'll let you decide if you want to bring in your own pet food. If your pet likes most dry doggie foods we are happy to feed them our dog food. But if you do bring in your own meals - Your dogs food MUST be in an air tight container. Lable your container with your pets first and last name. This will make sure your pet gets fed their food.
Please do NOT bring in over sized containers or dog food in it's original store paper bag. Those are awkard to handle and we do not have the space to store them. Put your pets food in a zip lock bag or a tupperware container. Remember this is a cage less facility with furry guests who love to explore and get into things.
We will be happy to administer your pets medications according to your written instructions for adminstration which you must provide in writing. All medications MUST be clearly marked with your pets first and last name. Our facility has a refrigerator if needed for either medications or for food.
Should I bring my pets bed and toys?
No please. Each of our guest is free to choose any one of our beds. Throughout the day there are fluffy comforters, blankies, and our laps are always available for your pets use. Please understand that because we are cage less everything is shared amoung the dogs and we cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged property.
We have a lot of toys here to entertain your pet and we give out snacks at least twice a day. So please do not ever feel that they are not being spoiled by us. Usually another pet will want to play with your pets toy and before you know it, your toy is mixed in with the many toys we have. Or what can also happen is that other doggies will want to lay on your pets bedding or play with the toys you may bring in. Your items can get damaged.
If you are missing any of your things, please let us know. We are more than happy to go look for your items and have them returned to you.
